Everyone loves Bao Buns! Learn to make two types of fluffy bao buns in this family friendly cooking class – folded and filled bao.

Join me in an online cooking class and learn to make two types of steamed bao buns from scratch with some delicious fillings – grilled chicken, pork or tofu, Asian slaw and pickled onion; and an aromatic dumpling mix. This is a meal that’s sure to impress friends and family in the future!

This class is split into 2 parts as the dough needs time to rise for about 90mins. If you can’t make the first session, then you can just follow the recipe and make the dough before the second session.

Part 1 (30mins): make the dough, marinade meat or tofu, pickle some veggies
Part 2 (60mins): make the bao buns, Asian slaw, cook the meat & bao buns

More information including detailed a ingredients list, recipe and Zoom link will be sent out with your booking confirmation. Most ingredients can be easily sourced at your local supermarket and alternatives will be provided for harder to find items like hoisin sauce, fresh coriander and sesame oil.

Key Ingredients include – pork, chicken, pork or mushrooms, plain flour, yeast, baking powder, ginger, garlic, Chinese condiments (hoisin, soy, oyster sauce, sesame oil), cabbage, carrot, fresh coriander, spring onion.
